Welcome to the Minnehaha GOP website. We are looking to build our party and prepare for the next elections. We are actively recruiting candidates for open seats and for Democrat controlled seats. If you have an interest in running for office or know of someone who is interested, please contact us by phone or email. In addition to local and state legislative opportunities, we intend to help our U.S. Senate nominee and our House of Representatives nominee carry Minnehaha County to Republican victory.

We will dedicate our efforts to developing strong Republican candidates for local and state-wide offices, improving our financial position so we can again, offer monetary assistance to our candidates, and developing a data-base that all general election candidates can access and use in their campaigns. In addition, we hope to compile a list of volunteers to help the candidates in their races.

As we plan our events for the next elections we will reach out to areas that deserve special attention, including our rural and small town Republicans, the Young Republicans, and the TARs. We want to strengthen these organizations and help them become a part of the Minnehaha County organization.

Please keep our military men and women, who are putting themselves in harms way every day, in your thoughts and prayers. It is the dedication and resolve of these young people that are keeping our shores safe from the terrorists. And keep our President in your prayers as he presses forward in spite of almost daily attacks from the leftist Democrats who have temporarily taken control of Congress.

And finally, we want to sincerely thank the men and women who serve us in the Legislature in Pierre. We are very aware of the personal and economic sacrifice they pay to go Pierre for two months to ensure that South Dakota remains the best place in the United States to live. Our hats are off to you and all the other patriotic Republicans who serve us in the city, county, school, and state governments.
